A HEALTHY BALANCED DIETARY REGIMENT AND PORTION CONTROL

If you’re like most Americans, eating out has become as common as eating at home. Restaurants are where our diet plans tend to get derailed. More than anything else, it’s not WHAT we’re eating that’s our biggest problem... It’s HOW MUCH we’re eating.
Portion control is incredibly difficult when eating out. This article,
click here , illustrates what a daily “balanced diet” should look like. Keep in mind, everyone’s daily caloric needs differ but this article is a solid baseline for most people. What you may find surprising is that the menu includes all types of foods and actually encourages snacking throughout the day.
The part I’d like you to pay close attention to, however, are the portion sizes. Whether you’re preparing a meal at home or eating out, you can enjoy an enormous range of foods, BUT pay attention to how much you’re eating. One dinner roll is ok, four is too many. A 6oz steak is great! A 12oz NY Strip is too much. Remember, you can always save extra food for another meal.
