Immune Boosting Tropical Breakfast Bowl
For me – breakfast is non-negotiable, particularly one that is high in protein and heart-healthy fats. At this critical time, this breakfast bowl is an ideal choice to start your day with phytonutrients, gut-healthy probiotics and protein for immune health.
Over the past 10 years I’ve found that I have to eat a high protein breakfast or else I will be starving by noon and that’s never a good thing because I’ll end up overeating at lunch.
This recipe is perfect because it does not take a lot of work to make, it can be ready in less than five minutes and you’ll have a delicious and nutritious meal you can take on the run.
1 cup of Fage Total Plain Greek Yogurt (or comparable plain Greek yogurt)
1 teaspoon pure maple syrup
1 kiwi, sliced
½ mango, diced
2 tablespoons goji berries
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 teaspoon raw cacao nibs
1/2 scoop 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝘀 (optional)*
* It may seem odd to mix a greens powder into yogurt but if you can get over the green color of your yogurt it will provide an added 50% RDA of all major vitamins, over 12 strains of added probiotics and 16 superfoods.
1. In a large bowl, mix together the yogurt, More Than Greens powder (if used) and maple syrup.
2. Top with kiwi and mango.
3. Garnish with goji berries, chia seeds, and raw cacao nibs (if using).
