Honorable Mention Super-Foods
I’ve decided to leave our list of highlighted super-foods as is but there are a number of great ones that I didn’t address. They are:
Ancient Grains (Amaranth, Buckwheat, Farro, Freekeh, Millet, Quinoa, Sorghum, Spelt)
Fish (ie Salmon, Sardines, Mackerel and Fish Oil)
Other Seeds (we highlighted Hemp but include Flaxseed, Chia, Pumpkin, Apricot, Sesame, Sunflower)
This list is by no means complete but if you incorporate these into your diet you will be doing your body a world of good. Superfoods maintain health and ward off a whole host of ailments such as:
Here’s the bottom line— we all need to add more fruits, vegetables, grains and seeds to our diets and avoid processed foods as much as possible. Your body will thank you for it with good health and longevity.
