Don't Read Most Of My Posts?
🙏 𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘 𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗢𝗡𝗘 🙏
Here’s a stat for you—
My blog has about 10,000 followers in total (between the TrustOrganix.com website, this Facebook Group and our Facebook Page). Not bad considering we don’t promote or advertise the blog.
Despite that number, analytics tell me that only about 4,000 are routinely reading my posts. Now that’s a decent percentage in the world of blogging, but it disappoints me a little.
You see, when we started Trust Organix it wasn’t just about earning a living. If that was the case, I would skip writing and researching articles altogether and simply run paid advertisements. It’s WAY easier than blogging!
Here’s the thing— those of you regular readers of my articles and recipes know by now that I recently had a kidney transplant after spending 6 years on dialysis. I didn’t get to the point of kidney failure by no fault of my own. In fact, I’d say I was probably 99% responsible for my kidney failure and deteriorating health.
Why? Well, without getting into too many self-incriminating stories, let’s just say a number of years living recklessly, eating shitty, and feeling invincible finally caught up with me. I was only 40 years old when the first symptoms started to appear. Now a smart person would’ve seen a doctor when the initial symptoms surfaced. Me? Nah, I figured it would just go away. I told myself lie after lie for years before I entered End Stage Renal Disease, aka Kidney Failure. That’s the point at which I would have died a quick and senseless death without dialysis.

My personal experience got me to thinking just how fragile life really is. I think most of us tend to run through life with horse blinders on, never really seeing the obstacles coming at us until they’re already staring us in the face. In other words, most of us don’t take very good care of our health until something bad happens. By that point, often times, it’s too late to fix the years of neglect.
I can only imagine how much different my life’s trajectory would have been had I taken better care of myself along the way. Think about it — 6 years of dialysis plus the 3 years I felt like crap before add up to nearly a decade of my life put on hold. It was such a tragic waste of life. That said, I learned A LOT during those 10 years— about myself and about life.
I take GREAT care of my health nowadays.
Sure, I had experienced bouts of seesaw dieting in my past. Every 5 years or so I’d get disgusted with how out of shape I’d become, go on a diet, exercise a little, and then — like a flash in the pan — I was right back to living an unhealthy life of bad foods, no exercise, too much alcohol, and so on.
I’m sure most of you can relate to some degree.
Now I obviously can’t force you to do things differently (although I sure wish I could) — BUT PLEASE — heed my advice and listen to my story because my story could easily become yours too!
And I would NEVER, EVER, want my health experience, or anything like it, to happen to you.
𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘’𝗦 𝗔 𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗧—
Several lines of evidence indicate that realistic modifications of diet and lifestyle can prevent most heart disease, stroke, diabetes, colon cancer, and smoking-related cancers.
Taken a step further, numerous studies indicate that among U.S. adults, more than 90% of type 2 diabetes, 80% of heart disease, 70% of stroke, and 70% of colon cancer are potentially preventable by a combination of a healthy diet, nonsmoking, avoidance of being overweight, moderate physical activity, and moderate alcohol consumption (Willett 2002).
Ask yourself— Are you doing all that you can?
𝗪𝗜𝗟𝗟 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗕𝗘 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗪𝗔𝗞𝗘 𝗨𝗣 𝗖𝗔𝗟𝗟?
Unfortunately, those of you reading this are probably the 40% of my readers that are already, to some degree, trying to take care of your health. And for that, I’m incredibly blessed to have made a positive impact on your health.
It’s the rest of you I’m really worried about.
So what I’m asking YOU to do today are TWO things:
𝟭. 𝗧𝗔𝗞𝗘 𝗔 𝗚𝗢𝗢𝗗 𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗗 𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 𝗔𝗧 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗟𝗧𝗛. 𝗜𝗦 𝗜𝗧 𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗘 𝗧𝗢 𝗠𝗔𝗞𝗘 𝗦𝗢𝗠𝗘 𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗘𝗦?

Together, maybe we can save just one person from living through the nightmare I experienced. And if this post is the first you’ve read from me, maybe it’s you I can help save from making the same mistakes I did?
