rying to lose weight? Feeling overwhelmed by the endless number of fad diets and “expert” advice? Read this article click here. Some of the information gets a little scientific but the general point is that moderation is the key. Most people can still consume sugar and carbohydrates and lose weight. But if you think you can have 2 or 3 dinner rolls and a couple of sodas with your meals, you’re likely sabotaging your weight loss goals..

Every body is different! This is why some diets work for some people really well but not necessarily for everyone. Losing weight involves understanding some basic principles and it doesn’t involve entirely cutting out a particular food group as the very popular Keto diet would have you believe. My advice is to buy yourself a scale and weigh yourself every morning. Why? So you begin to understand over time what seems to work for you and what doesn’t. If everything remains fairly constant in your daily diet, adding 4 days of exercise to your weekly routine WILL cause you to lose weight. If you cutback on your daily caloric intake you’ll see even greater results.

Here’s the point.... losing weight is a balancing act. Take a cognitive approach to understanding your body and pay attention to what you stick in your mouth. If you’re eating pizza a few night a week and can’t figure out why you’re not losing weight, try eating something without so much fat and calories and I bet you’ll see results. Are you picking up a Big Gulp or Slurpee every day on your way to work and can’t understand why your weight is ticking upward? Your biggest problem is common sense.

Bottom line- Pay closer attention to what you’re putting in your mouth and start an exercise regimen! You WILL see results.
