You Are Not Eating Enough Fruits And Vegetables

Bold statement, right?  You may even be saying to yourself, “I eat plenty of fruits and vegetables... most days.”

Here’s a FACT— A 2015 study by the CDC indicated that 90 percent of Americans are significantly deficient in their intake of both fruits and vegetables.  That’s right, 90 PERCENT!

Federal guidelines state that you should eat a MINIMUM of 2 cups of fruit and 3 cups of vegetables every day for a total of 5 servings. Remember, that is the minimum standard!

Here’s a more startling truth— The USDA, global science community and nutritionists say you should be eating 8 servings per day for optimal health, not 5!

Phew! That’s A LOT of fruits and vegetables.

  • Breakfast – boost your breakfast with berries, bananas, or other sliced fruit to replace some of your cereal
  • Lunch – build sandwiches around roasted eggplant, peppers, or mushrooms—instead of high-fat meats or cheeses
  • Dinner – swap veggies for half the pasta, bread, or rice in your meal or soup

Many of our followers already know about Ron’s checkered health history. Despite being an all-state and collegiate baseball player, Ron experienced problems with see-saw dieting, poor eating habits, smoking, drinking, and even drug use during earlier in his life.  For the most part, how Ron appeared on the outside wasn’t an indication of what was really going on inside his body.

Too many years of smoking, drinking alcohol, recreational drug use and a poor diet had caused high blood pressure and ultimately triggered lupus which completely destroyed his kidneys.

Obviously, a diet of crappy foods wasn’t entirely to blame — Ron had plenty of other negative choices working against him too. But the fact is that when you regularly neglect one or two aspects of your health, you are likely neglecting most aspects of your health.

Ron is living proof.

𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗖𝗔𝗡 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗗𝗢?

It’s overly simplistic to state that you need to take better care of yourself by eating a diet loaded with fruits and vegetables. After all, who doesn’t know that?  The stark reality is that the overwhelming majority of us simply don’t love fruits and vegetables enough to eat five, or ideally eight, servings per day.

Short of begging you to listen to Ron’s story, please heed his advice and make some simple changes in your eating habits today. If you won’t, at least start a supplement regimen to help fill the void of your diet deficient in fruits and vegetables.  Remember, only 1 in 10 people are eating enough fruits and vegetables daily, according to the CDC.  Are you one of the 90% of Americans that aren’t eating enough fruits and vegetables?

Look, we started Trust Organix largely because our co-founder, Ron, unfortunately learned the hard way that living a life of crappy eating and carrying excessive weight are two of the major contributing factors to a whole slew of diseases and ailments.  And as an athlete, Ron knew the importance of proper nutrition for peak performance and health.  But life sometimes takes us down a different path despite knowing right from wrong.

Ask yourself — What path are you on?

Now here is something you won’t hear from most nutritional supplement companies — EATING ACTUAL FRUITS AND VEGETABLES ARE YOUR BEST CHOICE FOR COMPLETE NUTRITION.

Remember what we’ve said many times before, a well balanced diet high in phytonutrients is your best option. That being said, nutritional supplements are particularly well suited for the 90% of Americans that don’t (or won’t) eat enough fruits and vegetables.

That’s right — while supplements are a great option for those of us that don’t consume 5-8 servings of fruits and vegetables daily, the fact remains that eating actual fruits and vegetables will provide better overall nutrition than supplements.

Of course there are also the natural medicinal benefits of many herbs and spices found in Trust Organix supplements that you would likely never consume in your regular diet. Plants like Ashwagandha, Spirulina and Chlorella are never incorporated into the foods we eat so supplements are the only way for people to get the health benefits of these plants.

Here’s the real takeaway though — We all know we need to eat more fruits and vegetables daily but the simple fact is WE DON’T!  Most commonly it’s because we just don’t like them enough to eat that much every single day.  WE GET IT!  Many days we at Trust Organix don’t eat enough fruits and vegetables either!
